Dr. T. Manvel Raj is the Principal of AnnaiVailankanni College of Engineering, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. He knows that successful students become successful adults. He received his B.Sc. degree in Physics from NesamonyMemmorial Christian College, Marthandam. Pursued his B.Tech. and M.Tech.Degrees in Mechanical Engineering (Design) from Vladimir State University, Russia, through Indo-Soviet Government scholarship. Completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Design) from Anna University, Chennai. He also, Pursued MBA degree from Annamalai University and Ph.D. in Management from Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu. He also received Ph.D(R&D) from U.K. andcertified Chartered Engineer by Institution of Engineers (India).
He is having 29 years of experiencein TEACHING, RESEARCH, ADMINISTRATION and EXTENSION activities and held various positions from Lecturer to Principal and Dean at various Engineering Colleges and Universities in and around Chennai. Also, held various additional responsibilities in his service as Chairman Academic Council, Board Chairman for University central valuation, Member of Academic Council, BOS, Research Council, Planning Council, staff selection committee, Coordinator of IQAC, ISO, NAAC, NBA, IET, ABET and Honourable Secretary cum Treasurer of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), etc.
Dr. T. Manvel Raj is expert in ISO, NAAC, NBA, ABET, IET, IQAC, CBCS, OBE practices, Curriculum Design, Pedagogy in Teaching-Learning Process, Evaluation, Outcome Assessment, Outcome Attainment and Ranking Systems of colleges& universities, etc.
He Published 94 Research papers in various reputed National and International journals, produced 4 Ph.D. degrees under his guidance at Anna university, Chennai and other Deemed Universities. Completed 3 funded research projects worth Rs. 72L.
He won 12 times the best lecturer Award and monitory reward for his overall Outstanding Performance in Academic & Research Activities.Also, he received 18 awards from various national and international organisations for the outstanding contributions in knowledge, Academic & Administrative Achievements, Visionary thinking, Displayed Skills, Excellence in Research, and Scholarship.
He is fellow member, life member of 14 professional societies and organised more than 300 Workshops, Conferences, Seminars, Skill Development Programs, Induction Day Programs, Graduation Day, Sports Day, Annual Day, Cultural Day, Career Guidance and Counseling Programs for Staff & students. Also, participated more than 54 National, International Conferences and Workshops. As chief Guest for around 24 Schools and Colleges.

It has always been our belief that every student has an unending pool of talent that needs to be fostered. A proper care and guidance will help the students to develop right attitude, values and practices that enable each individual to excel in future. The main focus of our Institution is to empower students with sound knowledge, wisdom, passion for innovation and latest know-how in cutting-edge technologies to experience and face the challenges of Industry 4.0 in a highly networked global perspective. The wonderful infrastructure and good learning environment prevailing in our College help to provide an enjoyable and easy learning experience to all our students.
The inspiration and commitment of our Management to continuous improvement and the hard work of the faculty members towards the overall growth of our students ensures that every student passing out of our College will taste the success in any sphere of life they choose to work.
