SOFTWARE CELL

AVCE software cell consists of students and faculties from various departments. The students of the software cell are given training on latest technologies and real project exposure by developing and implementing software products. It also takes pride in developing and maintaining our college website. It also inspires the students and guides to hone their software skills and programming skills. It trains students in practical and concept based learning by entrusting them with different responsibilities and tasks. Students software team is now working on developing various modules that are essential for office and college automation. This will enable the students, parents and staff to access the information of any sort in a matter of time.

Students developed and launched AVCE intranet, a web based solution.

The students of software cell won the first prize in the project event "Kanya Wizard 2013" which was jointly conducted by the District Administration of Kanyakumari and Computer Science Department of Government Engineering College,Nagercoil.

The Software cell developed a software, "Data Analysis in Cloud" for M/S SERENDIO Software, California, USA. The project was developed using Java, SCALA and Play-framework technologies. At present, the Software Cell is working on another Real Time Product called "AVCE e-grabber tool" , a tool which automates the data entry operation by extracting the user data from the specified websites.

A website designing contest was conducted in February 2015, in which, Students from all the departments participated and created their departmental websites.
