Overview

The Department of Sciences and Humanities is the gateway of Engineering Education. The Department of  Sciences and Humanities consist of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English disciplines. All the disciplines in the department exist as a separate division and maintain individual identity under single umbrella. The unique strength of the department is its excellent co-ordination in carrying out the academic responsibilities effectively. The Department of Science and Humanities imparts valuable education on communicative and technical English, Engineering mathematics, Engineering Physics and Engineering Chemistry. The Department of English conducts Language lab for the students to improve their communication and soft skills. The fully equipped Physics and Chemistry laboratory helps the students learn the experiments crystal-clearly and ensures the name and fame for our students as engineers and scientists in future. The Department of Mathematics strives hard to help the students feel symphony with the so-called difficult concepts as students are enabled in their pursuit of reasoning, analytical and application skills.

The department makes consistent and strenuous efforts to advance the continuous and determined dissemination of knowledge of all kinds. The Department actively involves in the early development of students’ personality, communication and soft skills to make them competitive enough to progress in the international volatile job market.

HOD DESK

Since, the Applied Science & Humanities subjects are the foundation subjects for all the branches of engineering and technology, the vision is to provide a strong fundamental knowledge in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as well as to formulate and solve engineering problems of any stream. The department also aims to provide the sound knowledge (both theoretical and practical) on the basis of the basic courses of the Applied Sciences & Humanities which lay the foundation of different branches of engineering and technology. The department offers excellent academic environment with a team of highly qualified faculty members to cater the needs of the students and to inspire them to develop their technical skills.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE LAB

English Language lab decides the employability of students. The students get their LSRW skills tested in the English Language Lab. It is strengthened with Glob arena software which provides real time video and audio modules to students learn and improve their proficiency in Spoken English.

CHEMISTRY LABORATORY

Chemistry lab gives knowledge about the characterization of matters, both qualitative and quantitative .It is important in nearly every aspect of our lives because chemicals make up everything we use. The quality control ensures the maximum efficiency in chemical production.

PHYSICS LABORATORY

Physics lab is the place to see the realities through which students can implement their theoretical knowledge. Students gain basic knowledge in measuring instruments like Vernier callipers, Screw guage, Travelling microscope, Spectrometer etc. The practical’s in physics covers the application of Physics principles in the areas like properties of matter, heat, Optics electromagnetism etc.
