The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 2008. It offers the best and updated practical training with modern high configuration computing systems to develop high quality, technical and scientific manpower to meet the challenges of the new generation. Dedicated faculty members and availability of latest licensed software provides a stimulating atmosphere for the students to excel in all aspects of academic research and to enhance their general skills in logical and analytical understanding. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering also offers a two-year Master degree programme in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 18 students since 2010. The students & faculties are free to access the internet, which enables them to prepare papers on the latest technologies to be presented in various symposia, seminars & conferences. The Department lays a lot of emphasis on the fundamentals of computer education and training, so that the students can build up on this strong foundation whichever career path they choose, namely teaching, research or industry. The students are not only trained in attaining academic excellence but are also encouraged to acquire industry exposure through industrial visits, in-plant training and projects .The learning atmosphere being more practical oriented makes the transition from an educational institution to an industry effortless. Our Faculty and staff are dedicated to providing our students with the best possible education by offering courses in the latest technology and providing the attention and support that is needed to produce talented graduates in the fields of Computer science and Engineering.A unique feature of the department is that some of the final year projects are being executed like Cloud Computing, Image Processing, Data Mining and Networking. In order to exhibit the talents of the Department Students, the Association of Computer Engineers is actively organizing special lectures, power seminars, workshops, symposiums and conferences.
