Our Department equipped with latest infrastructure and imparting technical education and serving the students. This research laboratory is equipped with most sophisticated imported equipment enabling to carry out the research in the frontier area. The department has state of art laboratories having nearly 250 computers with latest configurations with all the necessary software and packages with updated versions of operating system and antivirus software. The following Lab courses are conducted by the department.
COMPUTER NETWORKS LAB
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has a well-established Computer Networks Laboratory. The lab offers an integrated educational process in the field of information and communication technologies emphasizing the issue of computer networks, their design, administration and management. The laboratory is supported by Data centre and all computers in this laboratory are connected to the Data centre via LAN.
The laboratory is well equipped with 32 Thin Client systems, 1 Laser Printer and an internet facility in an Air Conditioned Environment with 10 KVA power backup facilities.
DATABASE SYSTEMS LABORATORY
Database management has evolved from a specialized computer application to a central component of a modern computing environment and as a result knowledge about database system has become an essential part of computer science. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has a well-established Database Systems Laboratory. A database management system (DBMS) is computer application software that provides a way to manage data. The requirement of modern days is to have an automated system that manages, modifies and updates data accurately. This is achieved by a DBMS in robust, correct and non redundant way. Database Systems laboratory aims at practicing and achieving this aim by using various software’s such as SQL, ORACLE, and MS – Access etc. The laboratory is supported by Data centre and all computers in this laboratory are connected to the Data centre via LAN.
DATA STRUCTURES LAB
In Computer Science, a data structure is a data organization, management and storage format that enable efficient access and modification. More precisely, a data structure is a collection of data values, the relationships among them, and the functions or operations that can be applied to the data. Data structures provide a means to manage large amounts of data efficiently for uses such as large internet indexing services. Usually, efficient data structures are key to designing efficient algorithms. Different kinds of data structures are suited to different kinds of applications, and some are highly specialized to specific tasks. Some formal design methods and programming languages emphasize data structures, rather than algorithms, as the key organizing factor in software design. Data structures can be used to organize the storage and retrieval of information stored in both main memory and secondary memory.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has a well-established Programming and Data Structures Laboratory. The laboratory is supported by Data centre and all computers in this laboratory are connected to the Data centre via LAN.
INTERNET PROGRAMMING LAB
Internet/Web programming refers to the writing, mark-up and coding involved in Web development, which includes Web content, Web client and server scripting and network security. The most common languages used for Web programming are XML, HTML, JavaScript, Perl 5 and PHP. An Internet application is a client-server application that uses standard Internet protocols for connecting the client to the server. You can use exactly the same techniques to create a true Internet application, which is available publicly through the World Wide Web, or to create an intranet application. In computing, a web application or web app is a client–server computer program which the client (including the user interface and client-side logic) runs in a web browser. Common web applications include webmail, online retail sales, online auctions, wikis, instant messaging services and many other functions.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has a well-established Internet Programming Laboratory. This laboratory provides essential facilities to the students to enhance their knowledge in Internet Programming, Java Programming, Cloud Computing, Object Oriented Analysis & Design. The laboratory is supported by Data centre and all computers in this laboratory are connected to the Data centre via N500W WIFI with LAN.
INTERNET OF THINGS LABORATORY
Industrial oriented Internet of things laboratory was setup in association with Riyasaa labs to enhance and enrich the students’ knowledge to meet industry needs. IoT improves the education system and brings lot of added value to the teaching environment and student learning.
